Holding a class reunion party has never been so easy thanks to the emergence of online social networking websites such as Myspace and Facebook.

This being said, statistics show that the average attendance for class reunion parties is only between 10 – 25%. This is probably due to anxiety and nervousness about facing former foes, loves and classmates.

By following these class reunion ideas you will stand a better chance of getting a high attendance and throw a party that your guests will always remember:

1. There is a lot of pressure on anybody to throw a class reunion party. Why not recruit a former classmate who lives nearby to help with the organization? As you will see, there is lots to do so you may as well!

2. You should give as much time as possible, even up to a year to plan the event. Remember that people will be coming from all over the country to attend. They will have jobs and families which they need to plan around.

3. You should dedicate a website or at least a Facebook group to your class reunion party! This would be far better than sending out invitations. This way your former classmates will be able to see who is attending and will be able to look forward to the event.

4. Put a form on your website so you can find out preliminary information such as:

a. Any vegetarians? Your guests will be eating at the party after all!

b. Accommodation required? If enough people need accommodation then you could negotiate a group discount at a friendly hotel!

c. Extra? Would your guests wish to order a dvd of the event and pens, photos etc.

d. Photos! Get your classmates to upload a school photo!

e. Payment – Have a link to Paypal so that they can pay in advance for the event.

5. Hire a professional photographer for the event. If enough people have sent in a school day photo via the website then you can have both an early and present day photo one after the other on the dvd!

6. Play music from the year of your graduation! Very nostalgic!

7. Provide name tags for everyone to avoid the inevitable embarrassments!

8. The food you provide should be top notch. Remember this is an extremely special occasion that has been a long time in the making.

Planning a class reunion party can be an extremely stressful endevour! So I hope that these Class Reunion Ideas have given you pause for thought and have taken a load off your shoulders!
